100% Blind Tasted Journal on Portugal - Highlight Quinta da Devesa 40 Years Old Tawny

Marcus del Monego and Andreas Larsson of 100% Blind Tasted Journal have tasted severall Portuguese wines, and scored them overall. Quinta da Devesa 40 Years Old has gotten a very special higlight in the overall standingsHere is a short description of what both said about the wine, and a picture of the highlight in page 12.
Andreas Larsson - Mature amber/brown colour with a greenish rim. Very intense and mature nose of dried fruits, walnuts, wood, tobacco, molasses, figs and dates. Very powerful palate with a lovely texture, sweet, round and viscous with intense flavours, moderate sweetness, well integrated alcohol and very intense, persistent aftertaste. Despite the weight and maturity, there´s freshness, very good! 94
Marcus del Monego - Dark mahogany colour. Opulent and well concentrated but balanced nose. Black walnuts, sweet almonds, candied orange peel, prunes and dried figs and dates. Hints of chocolate and vanilla in the background, complex approach. On the palate well balanced with excellent weight and length, hints of sweetness, balanced acidity and complex flavour reminiscent of caramel, vanilla and roasted notes. 94
